The primary purpose of the Social Housing program is to assist low-income individuals and families by
providing affordable housing. The applicant should be under 65 years of age and may or may not have dependent children. Applicants who are 65 years or older will normally
be considered for accommodation through the Seniors Self-Contained Accommodation Program.
Our program consists of one apartment building and several duplexes in various locations throughout out the City of Wetaskiwin.
Priority is given to persons currently residing or working within the County of Wetaskiwin, the City of Wetaskiwin and the Town of Millet.
The Private Landlord Rent Supplement Program is a provincially subsidized program operating the same as the Social
Housing, which allows placement with a private landlord and subsidies going directly to the same.
In Wetaskiwin, we currently have an
allotment of 67 designations.
